Safeguarding and Protecting Children

Every child who participates in Netball should be able to do so in a fun, safe environment and be protected from harm. TBNC has adopted England Netball's Safeguarding policy which places the highest priority on participants' safety and enjoyment and recognises that they have a duty towards children within the sport and any member providing Netball opportunities must do so with the highest possible standard of care.

A child is defined as being under 18 years of age (The Children Act 1989)

The majority of our coaches are qualified to UKCC Level 2 which includes Safeguarding and Protecting Children certification.

We are currently mentoring two Level 1 coaches in the junior section at U14 while they work towards their Level 2 qualification.

More information is also available from Netball Southwest.

If you wish to raise any issues or ask any questions on our Safeguarding policy please contact our Safeguarding Officer Sally Arthur.
